Joanna McWhirter
My family has a long history in the Rimbey area. My Grandfather moved onto the farm on which I now reside with my family just over a hundred years ago. I grew up in the area and after flirting with post secondary education moved away when I got married to raise my family. In 2003 we all moved back to the family farm and I became the librarian here in the beginning of 2005. I have had a life-long passion with books and reading. I am also passionate about my community so for me this job is a perfect fit!
Julissa Rist
I started working at the library last August. I'm super excited to get to plan our summer reading program and do tons of fun thing with you guys this summer. I'm leading the grade 4-6, so if you're in that grade: Hooray! (It'll be Awesome!) After the summer, when you go back to school, I'm going to Ukraine. I'm really excited to start world travelling. Fun fact: My favourite food is Bacon.

Some of you may know me from last year's Summer Reading Program and I'm really excited to have returned for another summer! I will be partnering up with Cole to run the K-3 program, so it should be twice the fun! But as thrilled as I am for this summer, I am equally as excited to go back to school in the fall to complete my Bachelor of Education degree, so this summer will be my last. Let's make it awesome!
I only started working at the library at the beginning of September but I am glad to say that I love my job! I am extremely excited to work the K-3 summer reading program and cannot wait for it to begin! I am currently finishing up my grade twelve year of school, and I have been accepted into the Digital Media and Communications course at Lethbridge College of which I will be attending this fall.
